> You enter the door and find yourself in a glass box, suspended in the sky. Bright blue skies, white fluffy clouds, even birds pass by in the air around you. One look down and you see grass fields and sprawling lakes as far as the eye can see. Some wild horses running across the fields, some cows, just exactly what you'd expect.

It's idyllic as fuck.

Then the words appear:

[ Sebastian is very much okay with the perception that he's an innocent, weak butler that needs to be protected. It suits his own purposes well, since as far as he sees it, it makes it more likely that he'll make it through this with the best odds. However, their ideas of what to do seem contrary to that. ]

I appreciate it very much. I may know a little self-defense, but... [ He shrugs helplessly ]

Though... I do not completely agree that we can wait out whatever this holds. I would take the chance and roll the dice, personally. Progress seems better than being idle, though I admit that is little more than a gut feeling.
wheatcake: but not as much as immonen does, jfc. (this artist really wanted to fuck peter)

[Peter sighs.] I'm still against it, but you outvoted me. Let's be fair.

[Still holding the knife close to his chest.]

Everything's sixes, have you noticed that? Six people, six hours, twelve-sided dice, six options... statistically we're unlikely to roll our numbers, but it's 50/50 on rolling our team's numbers. And why teams? Are we competing, or is there another reason...

You're right, actually. We need more data, and we can't figure it out by sitting pretty. Who's rolling first?

[ Sebastian considers it thoughtfully, but really, he's delighted that Peter noticed this, since, well. He's a stereotypical nerd? ]

That many sixes, and it begins to resemble the number of the beast. But I would hope it would not be so... Cliche seems too light a word for this situation.

[ But he looks to Peter and to Jamie, before shrugging again ]

If it is a game of chance, then I suppose it does not matter. I can roll first.
wheatcake: (luv that pink cardigan.)

No, it looks like it's more multiplications of six, rather than repetitions. Keep an eye out for six, twelve, twenty-four, thirty-six... I don't think it's doing uneven multiples but I could be wrong...

[Just rambling to himself, but-]

Okay, Michaelis. If you're sure.

As certain as one can be within such uncertain parameters...

[ But he'll approach the table and taking a second glance at the list of numbers and names, Sebastian picks up the dice, rolls...

And up comes a nine. ]

That would be Sara, according to the list?
wheatcake: about BUSH ERA POLITICS and ANGST or SOMETHING. (civil war is a SERIOUS event)

[Peter grimaces. Sara was a good kid-- adult woman. Lady.]

[He waits for something to happen, his grip on the knife tightening, and... nothing. Nothing.]

So whatever happens, it's probably in the room with Sara in it. Rolls only hit the person whose number came up.

...I'll go next. [And in his head, he thinks, one or twelve, one or twelve, one or twelve.]

[But it's a 2.] I'm so sorry, I-

[ James will keep his eye on Sebastian. The information will be useful if they're to figure out how this all works. ]
